About the Author

Valley C. Shaia (she/her) is a Virginian Lebanese-American, now residing in Massachusetts. She has an MFA in Creative Writing for Young People, and is a member of Writing With the Soul. Her poems, “divisible by two” and “echoes,” are published in the inaugural issue of the literary journal, The Tonic. She daylights as a narrative designer for Hasbro, and her favorite games she’s written are THE GAME OF LIFE Barbie and MONOPOLY Disney Villains Henchmen (which is fateful considering she is a fabulous villainess herself). When Shaia’s not writing, you can find her cooking hushwee for her fiancé, crocheting while watching Buffy with her two cats, or chugging coffee in indie New England bookstores.
